Despite centuries of recognition for their role in inspiring artists, Muses are sadly neglected on Valentine’s day. What could you do this week that would delight your Muse?
“Do you believe in God?” is a big question.
“Do you really think you have a Muse?” is not a big question. The Muse is an effective construct on a number of levels. Take the following rather cheesy exchange:
Q: “Honestly, did you really buy new paints for YOURSELF for Valentine’s Day?”
A: “Oh, heavens, NO! I got them for my Muse.”

Hi Lillian,
Love your new art lessons . . . inspiring AND funny! Congratulations. I’ve made your ingenious handmade sketchpad as a Valentine’s gift to my muse. 🙂
SO funny and so well done. My muse gets bossy and attention grabbing at times – tries to run my life dashing from one thing to another.
…Ahhhh, another great video! I just love it! I also loved the roses in your bouquet of paintbrushes…and you got a great new container for them… Well, I’d best be off to romance my muse now…I’ll let you know what I come up!
This is sooo funny!!!
I have a muse?
You are the greatest inspiration! Love the video and this web atelier!
