Silver Linings (Online art lesson #25)

I'll be back at the helm soon!

I walk across the open air linoleum on an exposed foundation and exit through a former wall.

Such a glorious view! With the Green Mountains behind the marina, plenty of shade, and a fringe of daylilies at Lake Champlain’s edge, it makes an ideal painting location.  And the owners probably won’t mind –  since their house  burned to the ground.

I’ve painted there twice already. I expected to be too busy, but I’ve had lots of time to paint this week – since my computer crashed taking my to-do list and all the things that I was working on with it.

Everything has an up side and a down side.  Your assignment this week is to find the Silver Lining in something that seems to be holding you back.  Whether stymied or stunned, ask the question, “What possibly could  be good about this?”  There’s usually something.

Carry on!  Share your stories in the comments. Next week, I’ll be back at the helm.  It will be different -I don’t have spell check (gasp) or a lot of other things, but I’ve got a stack of paintings and will plan a good lesson.  How would you  like “How to draw an adirondack chair”?

NOTE: I won’t have your email address unless you email me again.
